Version 2.0 (2026)

Teacher Handbook.

Your guide to professional excellence, curriculum standards, and Peakly operations.

01 Our Mission

At Peakly, we believe every student has a peak performance potential. Your role as a tutor is not just to transfer information, but to build confidence, curiosity, and mastery. Our goal is to make tutoring accessible, tech-forward, and high-impact.

02 Teaching Standards

Quality Check

The Peakly Teaching Methodology:

  • The Prime 5: Every lesson starts with a 5-minute review of the previous session.
  • Active Output: Students should spend 70% of the lesson speaking or writing, not just listening.
  • Gap Identification: Use the first lesson to map out every knowledge gap in the student's foundation.
  • Outcome Driven: At the end of every hour, the student must be able to solve/explain one thing they couldn't before.

03 Curriculum Alignment

All teaching at Peakly must align with the official state or national curriculum. You are expected to be familiar with the following:

VCAA (Victoria)

Study designs for VCE Units 1-4 and F-10 Curriculum levels.

NESA (NSW)

Syllabuses for HSC levels and K-10 curriculum outcomes.

ACARA (National)

General capabilities and cross-curriculum priorities.

04 Using the AI Study Lab

Peakly tutors have exclusive access to the AI Lesson Generator. Use it to:

  • Generate Activity Sheets for homework in under 10 seconds.
  • Plan 4-Week Series for long-term holiday revision.
  • Convert complex VCE/HSC study designs into simplified Cheat Sheets.

*Always peer-review AI output for technical accuracy before sharing with students.

05 Safety & Protection

CRITICAL Requirements:

  • Valid **Working With Children Check (WWCC)** must be on file.
  • All communications must stay within Peakly-approved channels.
  • Report any welfare concerns immediately to `safety@peakly.com.au`.
